Unloosen has been in desperate need for an upgrade for a long, long time at this point. Since I had a few extra hours, I decided to upgrade the back end and database that power the site. This should allow for further enhancements/features (some of which I've been promising for months -- OK -- years at this point). If the upgrade results in any problems or inconsistencies, please let me know via email or by commenting on this post.

I wasn't going to say anything, Chris, but since you've brought it out into the open, I have noticed that Unloosen's back end is more robust than it used to be. Has it been working out?
Okay, here's a problem: I just logged in to comment and the comment came up as being posted by Anonymous.
(This is Craig, by the way.)
Don't know why it's doing that, Craig. It worked for me. I'll have to look into it.
So far it's a little confusing, mostly because it's been a few years since I actually coded using Movable Type's custom tags. I'm sure I'll be able to iron some of the issues out soon.
Yeah, it says, "Thanks for signing in, CraigJClark. Now you can comment." And yet...
Ah, now it works. Funky.
I've got a feeling it's going to be a bumpy ride for a few days/weeks. A ride that will keep moving forward and working, but with the "bumps."
Captchas not yet showing up on older posts.
Nor will they until I get time to work further on outstanding issues. My parents are in town now and will be until Monday. After Monday, much fixing and possible redesigning will ensue.
Make sure while your parents are in, you take them to that wonderful Mexican restaurant located behind the Holiday Inn in Pasadena.
Don't you just love it when your "BACK END IS UPGRADED"???
Awesome. I was waiting for that one. Surprised it took so long.
mmmmmm....
Bootylicious!!!!!!!
DHL:
A cool thing about that restaurant, of course, is that it can (in theory) be brought to them.
